About Us

History

The Cross Products began singing at MIT in the fall of 1988. The group was formed to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ to people through music, skits, and spoken word, and to complement the other a cappella groups in existence at MIT as a Christian alternative.

Vision × Purpose

The Cross Products are the most “normal” co-ed Christian a cappella group at MIT (pun intended)! We exist to glorify God through music and our lives, and to tell others about the ways that He has changed us. We are each products of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Part of our vision is to reflect God’s heart for all people. Each spring break, we sing and volunteer at schools, churches, nursing homes, and homeless shelters. Around MIT, you can find us singing with groups from other colleges, caroling in Lobby 7, or rocking out at our big semester concert.

We call ourselves the “Cross Products” because as Christians we consider ourselves products of the cross of Jesus Christ. The term “cross product” also has another meaning – if you don’t know what it is take a look!

Cross Products is a member of the MIT United Christian Organization (UCO).
